cold packs Jun 13, 2008
By namwan kalong I like this particular brand of cold pack better than the blue cold pack because the material used doesn't squish away when you lean on it. It is colder than the elastogel cold pack for people who like it colder. Eventually it will split at the seams, but the price makes it worth buying. There are different sizes which makes it easier to accomodate different body parts, rather than using just a standard size.

Love These ColPacs Jan 17, 2009

"Fun Chic"
I love these cold packs! Having worked in physical therapy for years, this is the product we used. They last a long time. We used them day in and day out for years. I own several different sizes of this product. One for my back, one for my knee, and the neck ones work well for necks, wrists and ankles. Keep them in your freezer so they will be ready when the unexpected injury occurs.

Great cold pack Jun 10, 2010
By V. Baca I've had one of these cold packs for over 20 years and used it for all kinds of injuries. It finally wore out so we will try a new one for the next 20 years.

Rigid Cold Pack Jul 21, 2011
By A. Martin Recently purchased this to add to the selection we had on hand for a family member who was having knee replacement surgery.
We have 4 different brands/styles. This is the least favorite. It is not shape-able/ mold-able. In fact, it is difficult/impossible to move the inner gel to fit where you want to place the cold pack.
It does not stay cold for very long (10-15 minutes max).
It requires a cotton cover, if you prefer something between your skin and the cold pack (we used a thin cotton tea towel).
Because of the inability to shape it, we used it "flat" (very lumpy and impossible to change this). This limited the use and effectiveness.
The two brands we liked were Ace (a blue flat cold pack with no cover and does not require one) and Mueller (a small cold pack that provides a hook/loop closure to wrap it around a body part), purchased locally at chain stores, though Amazon may carry them. We reach for them every time.

Same Ice Pack as at the Rehab! Nov 11, 2010
By DJW This is the ice pack they used on me at the rehab center and this is what I wanted. It's a well made item, and wraps easily around my knee and leg. I can squish the gel so that i can keep the cold exactly where I want it. You do have to slip a towel or sheet around it before you put it on ... to be expected.
