Great stuff, but why so expensive? Oct 09, 2011
By R. A. Meyers
"TuBob Shakur"
My dog and cat both love this stuff. They lick it right out of the jar, and it seems to make their coats softer and shinier. I'm hoping that it'll also help to heal a skin abrasion on my dog, and help our cat with his allergies. But, it's too soon to tell.
That said, I gave this product four stars instead of five because it's ridiculously more expensive than seemingly-identical products that are sold by other companies. E.g., Nature's Way sells a 16oz jar for $7.99, and that product is also eligible for free shipping via Amazon Prime. So, this product costs *twice* as much for *half* the volume of the Nature's Way product, and you must also pay for shipping. Because of that, next time around, I'll buy the product from a different company.

cocotherapy Sep 17, 2011
By NancyM One of my dogs has seasonal allergies with dandruff. I was using a salmon oil but the coconut oil was more enjoyable for him to eat plus his coat is no longer dry. I'm giving it to all my dogs now.

dogs love it Aug 24, 2011
By Rikki Researched the company, and am pleased with what goes into this product. It is said to be good for allergies, that is why i purchased it. Although i have not seen any difference in my dogs, they enjoy their food more now. As far as the allergies, i have not yet given them the full dosage suggested, so this may be the reason. This product can be used also by humans, which makes me feel safe about using it.
You get what you pay for - Best I've tried! Mar 21, 2012
By MichaelJPO I've tried the other brands that were cheaper, but nothing compares to CocoTherapy Virgin Coconut Oil, not just for my pets, but for myself as well. This smells fresh and sweet and doesn't taste stale. Some other "cheaper" brands I've tried smelled like chemicals or rancid, and had a greasy bland taste. So digusting! You really get what you pay for, they are not all the "same". Just like olive oil, some olive oils cost $2.00 and you can get some bottles for $25.00. You can tell a huge difference in quality between a $2.00 bottle of olive oil and a $25.00 bottle. In the same way you can tell the difference between CocoTherapy Virgin Coconut Oil and other cheaper brands. Huge difference!! CocoTherapy is a premium, top-shelf brand. I'll stick to CocoTherapy, if you want the best, this is the brand to buy. P.S. I also love their CocoTherapy Coconut Chips, my pets are addicted to it.
Our Chi loves it! May 27, 2011
By CP My wife gives a bit of this to our Chi every day in the palm of her hand.
The dog can't even wait for her to open the jar... she loves it!
