Very strong and well built. Mar 14, 2008
By Ryder I have been working out for over 10 years now and know which equipment works best. I haven't been able to go to the gym as much so I went to Big 5 and bought the basic ab roller for $30. After using it for about a week I returned it. The cheap ab roller was very light and moved around while I did the exercises and it was uneven and leaned to the left as I lifted up. Then I did some reseacrh and decided to purchase the club pro. Right alway I knew this was a strong machine by the weight of the trainer. It is much smoother and the extra weight makes the workouts a little harder, you will feel the burn much more then the basic ab roller. I use to use this one at 24 hour fitness but it disappeared one day. I really recommend this product. The downside is that its expensive and a little uncomfortable, i'm 5'10 and my arms barely reach the arm rest. I don't really use the arm rest so I don't mind it. If your a small person under 5"8, this machine will be to big for you.

maybe overpriced, but it's far better than all the others Jun 27, 2007
By larry fine I used this in the gym I go to, and figured all "ab rollers" were alike, so went out and bought one to use at home. It didn't look all that different, but when you use it, you know there's a difference. Money down the drain, because it was pretty much unusable. Only then did I go back to the gym and take note of the actual make and model of the one I was using there (which is this one). I was disappointed at the cost - it is, after all, pretty much just a piece of tubular metal with some bends in it - like all the others, in that regard. But the others just don't feel right. Is it worth the money? I don't know. Is it better than the cheaper ones? Definitely.

the people who write negative comments about this unit surprise me. I've used many 'ab-machines' and none isolate the abdominal region as good as this. My gym had one of these and i used it all the time untill someone stole it, so i went ahead and forked over the 180 bucks to have it delivered.
I mean Oprah Winfrey gives it her endorsement what more do you need.

Great Core 7 AB Builder Aug 12, 2011
By C3ink This is a simple but very effective piece of exercise equipment. Low impact, but heavy duty core and AB workout. Use this and you will improve in whatever sport you participate.

Club Pro Ab Trainer Review Jan 14, 2009
By W. R. Espino I first used the Ab Trainer in the Anaheim Hilton hotel workout facility. As soon as I tried it, I decided to buy one. This is a very solid and effective piece of equipment. It is the only piece of home exercise equipment I own. I work out almost daily in a gym, but I still use the Ab Trainer because it does a better job of isolating the stomach muscles than the crunch benches. Whereas I can do 400 crunches on a bench, I can do half that with the Ab Trainer.
I thought the assembly instructions were a bit obtuse. It took several tries to get the thing together, and I ended up relying more on the photograph of the equipment than on the instruction diagram.
