Just what I needed Sep 13, 2010
By J.B. Cabell I was looking for a way to make a low-cost substitute for the Zona Plus device for lowering blood pressure. It works by having one squeeze electronically monitored hand grips for two minutes, relaxing for one minute, and repeating the sequence four times per session. Typical passive grip exercisers are too stiff to be able to hold them compressed for a total of eight minutes over a ten-minute period, but I found the green handle Cando ErgoGrip Hand Exercisers were just about right. They're comfortable to hold and the price is right, too, costing 1/40th of the Zona Plus. The only other thing I needed was a recording in my own voice, loaded onto an MP3 player or CD-R disc, that called out the times for the squeeze/relax phases of the session.

Just What I Needed! Mar 20, 2009
By L.B. Quick This exerciser is just what I needed to exercise my arthritic hands. I have been using them about two weeks and my hands seem more flexible. I feel if I continue this may prevent any further loss of strenghth and flexibility.

By O. Weston I got the black "athlete" pair and they're uselessly easy; complete mush. Get the "Heavy Grip" ones at Karate Depot, etc.
I got the HG 200 & 250 and had to go back and get the 150. I'm 6'1" 212 martial arts/free weights guy.
