Description:

Small - Black -Shin Ice is an effective treatment of inflammation and pain associated with stress of the lower leg. Shin Ice was designed to provide therapeutic cold therapy and compression treatment for shin splints, bruises and muscle strains. Made of a neoprene sleeve with Sealed Ice inserts along the front of the lower leg, Shin Sleeve provides both the cold therapy and compression recommended by doctors. It also allows mobility during cold therapy. Place Shin Ice in the freezer; when it is cold, slide it on the leg for 15-20 minutes, 4 to 6 timer per day. Shin Ice is excellent to use with sport activities, including cross-country, track and soccer or with excessive inward or outward rotation of the foot.

Features:
  • Small; children or womens shoe 4 - 7 Medium; womens shoe 8 - 11; mens shoe 6 - 9-1/2 Large; mens shoe 10 - 12 X-Large; mens shoe 12-1/2 - 14

  • Neoprene firmly supports the lower leg muscles and soft tissue. When refrigerated, the cold packs in the sleeve help reduce inflammation, swelling and pain

  • The combination of cold therapy and compression helps relieve muscle strain, shin splints or posterior tibial syndrome.

  • Caution: Not recommended for those with diabetes. Made in USA. Care: Hand wash and air dry. Use product for 15 to 20 minutes, 4 to 6 times per day.

  • Note: Medical Braces and supports are not returnable once removed from sealed packaging. May ship in clinical non-retail packaging

1small calf size = smaller ankle opening  Aug 03, 2009
By M. Vogel
The ankle opening for a size small is much too small to get over my daughters foot. If you can't slide it over your foot then it is useless. I was trying to replace a full lenghth one that was a wrap with a velcro closure. This one is a sock type. I loved the old one.

5Great product!  Jun 11, 2009
By T. Dixon
I've always wanted to be a runner but whenever I'd give it a try I'd get terrible shin splints. I just started the c25K running program and I must say that this product is invaluable to me. As soon is my run is over I put these on (I purchased 2), stretch and put my feet up. So far no soreness or inflammation. In just a few short weeks I should be able to run a 5k and I don't think I could do it without these!

2Great idea, poor implementation  Jun 23, 2010
By Michael Case
As a guy who used to syran wrap frozen peas to his shin, this seemed like the perfect device. The neoprene sleeve holding an icepack to my shin was a nice step up. It worked great for about a week, then one of the ice compartments started to leak, then another, then another. After a couple of weeks, only about half the ice compartments had fluid left. Nothing was obviously poking holes in the ice pack, so I can't figure out where the leaks came from. My guess is that an improvement in the plastic quality/thickness for the icepack would solve the problem. Overall a great idea, if only it were more durable.

2Not what I had hoped  Mar 30, 2010
By Melinda A. Mittelman "Mindy"
This product is ok, however there are a few things I didn't like about it:
1. The ice pockets are so small that they warm up easily after being put in the fridge (as suggested by product pamphlet).
2. If you do freeze it to avoid that first problem, the sleeve is very inflexible and consequently incredibly difficult to put on.
3. I felt that it was smaller than listed on the site. I'd go a size up and if it's too big, you can always still use it lying down or duct tape it to fit better. I can't really use mine!

5Lower leg/shin ice wrap  May 16, 2012
By Hans V. Behnke "hvbohio"
I have been suffering from lower leg tendinitis for six months now. I'm a runner and cyclist...so you can imagine how such a thing can really slow me down. I ordered this ice wrap to help with the icing of my lower leg to reduce inflammation. I'm not sure if I got the correct size, as I do have some difficulty getting this wrap on and off. I've used it a hand full of times and the ice gel packs seem to last anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes, which is just right for proper icing. My leg always feels better when I take it off. I'm a little worried the construction won't hold up, so we'll see how long it lasts. The ice gel packs are sewn into the inside lining of the wrap, to focus the icing effect on your shin. I twist it a little bit to focus the icing on my inner leg next to the shin. Other than seeing how long it will last, its done the job I bought it for. Give it a try!
