Not quite what I expected Sep 25, 2010
By inspectorrick It looks well made when you first get it, but after placing it under my Nordic Track A2550 Pro, on the carpet, I found that the up and down motion of the Treadmill while it's going through a program did extensive wear on the mat. It was actually wearing thin in two areas, so I bought 3/4" construction grade Plywood, cut it at 38" by 80" and mounted the Mat with a foam applied insulation, and special flattening horseshoe brads, and now it works fine. I'm afraid if I had left it as it was, it would have worn a hole right through the Mat. While I know a Carpet is not the ideal application for a Treadmill, and a pad, this Mat should not have started to degrade this quickly, and under these conditions of use. I don't use it to run on, only climbing applications at increasing speeds. I would spend extra money, and buy a different Mat if I had it to do over again.

Well, it's a mat... Apr 03, 2009
By SSSSS I'm using this mat under an elliptical. It's not very thick (maybe ~1/4"), but it does the job and hasn't ripped or torn.

Beware Buyer Feb 12, 2010
By D. J. Cheathem
"Mailman33"
I read the reviews, debated whether I should order this item, figured the problem had been corrected, and bought this mat anyway. Result: a disappointed buyer. The description plainly stated it was a Body Solid Super Mat RF36T Treadmill Mat with a "lifetime warranty." Actually, it is a Supermat, Inc. product (the box has their location as Elk River, Mn. 55330), and the insert sheet within the box specifies it only has a "1 year warranty." The package itself does have a small barcode sticker with RF36T on it, but nowhere does it state on the box or packaging inside the box that the mat is a Body Solid product. As of the time of my review (2/12/2010), I am the third buyer who purchased this product primarily because it was supposed to have a "lifetime warranty." Three strikes and you're out. I love Amazon, and frequent their site often. I have always rated them highly. However, this should not be happening. The problem could be remedied if the description was changed to accurately reflect the stated warranty within the box itself; also, whether it is actually a Body Solid mat or a Super Mat. Regretfully, I'm returning the product for a refund, and will continue to search for a mat for my treadmill.
UPDATE: 2/25/2010 THE DESCRIPTION HAS BEEN CORRECTED TO REFLECT THAT THERE IS A "ONE YEAR WARRANTY" AS OPPOSED TO THE PREVIOUS "LIFETIME WARRANTY." THIS SATISFIES ME, AND I WOULD RATE IT DIFFERENTLY AS A RESULT. THANKS AMAZON FOR THE CORRECTED DESCRIPTION. TWO THUMBS UP!

Can't complain Aug 07, 2009
By M. Wisler I can't complain; it is a mat that fits perfectly under my NordicTrack treadmill. The mat isn't really thick but feels like it is made with a durable material. It didn't rip or tear when moving the treadmill around on it.
I haven't purchased a different brand to compare, but I would purchase this mat again if it was necessary

Don't purchase this mat from Amazon! Jan 26, 2010
By BE Babe Long story short. I purchased this treadmill mat from Amazon. Instead of receiving the Body Solid RF36T mat, I received a cheaper version, the SuperMat from Target. I contacted Amazon and they placed a second order for the Body Solid RF36T mat. Guess what? I received a second SuperMat. I know it's a different mat from what I ordered because the Body Solid RF36T mat has a lifetime warranty, while the SuperMat I received had a disclaimer in the box that states it only has a one-year warranty. I don't know what the problem is, but be forewarned that you might not receive a Body Solid RF36T treadmill mat if you order it through Amazon. Purchase this mat from another vendor. The one-star rating is only for Amazon's goof-up. Twice.
UPDATE 2/1/10
I received a response from an Amazon customer service representative. She told me that they were going to suspend sales of this particular mat until they could figure out what was going on at the warehouse. Sure enough, the mat could not be purchased through Amazon for a couple of days. Now that it's back up, perhaps they fixed the problem.
