Great value in an ab Bench Jun 29, 2009
By Norman Zink

I use this ab bench several times a day and it has helped strengthen my lower back and abs. I believe it has improved my core strength, too. It is surprisingly sturdy, of moderate size, and easy to use. I feel great from using it. Upholstery is good. I think it is well made. It was designed and engineered in the USA and made in China. Good product, I find.
Machine flaws Mar 29, 2012
By epicdrome Must say I do like this piece of equipment but I do have some dislikes as well. Assembling took a little time and had some missing hardware (2 lock washers) As for the components and parts they are very solid but in the end the machine seems a bit cheesy. The hand grips can move side to side putting them out of line which is poor design in the way they attach but not a huge issue. A larger issue for me was the bottom swing leg. A great feature to have and works just fine but its very flimsy at the foot grips. Again a very poor design in attachment. The final flaw which I think is the major flaw is changing length on the leg portion. 2 bars attached to a vertical swing arm at the bottom to the base as u can see in the pic. There is 2 lengths you can put this at for larger people or more extension to target even lower in your core. This is attached by 2 screws and locknuts. That means if you want to change the length you must break the tools out to do so. During a workout with any muscle group I prefer to transition to any position rather quickly to keep my muscles from cooling down. With abs, for me! It's all repetition and keeping that burn threw the entire workout with no cool down. It would be nice had they put a different system in with that attachment. No one wants to break tools out during a workout and I personally want access to every position my equipment offers quickly. All in all I would recommend this product. It works really good. About as close as you will get to machines you see in your local gym at a fraction of the cost!

Not Really An Ab Machine Jan 24, 2011
By John This machine is not as sturdy as I like and the range of motion is more for your back than abs. I got it because I had neck pain from doing sit ups and cruches. I hoped it would give me a great ab workout I was wrong. Works nicely for leg lifts but still is a do not recommend.

It's OK, Not Great Aug 08, 2009

I just bought this unit and am a bit disappointed. I came with no instructions for use. Consequently, I am not happy with how I use it. It doesn't seem to flow on ab exercise. Also, I thought from the description that the leg worked in conjuction with the back like other machines at the gym. This is not the case. They are independent of each other. I just ordered the Power Tech Roman Chair, if this works better I may send this bench back.
