I absolutely LOVE barleans primrose oil. I use 2 each day. Before I started up on this primrose oil I had a hormonal imbalance and was very dry, naturally dry everywhere and on top of that the apartment I live in is dry!. Lotions and hair conditioners can only do so much and you cant use them internally.
Well I must say that just 2 capsules of this primrose oil each day REALLY helped me with my hormone imbalance. I found my mood to be more steady and my skin was much more moist all over. I wasnt fully moisturized all over as I had hoped but there was an obvious difference my skin no longer itched my lady bits were also more lubricated which was a wonderful surprise! I now have a much fuller regimen and I have now corrected my dryness issue with this primrose oil ( I switch it up with borrage oil every 6 months to keep it working at full effect ) and I also use wholemega by newchapter aswell as some other supplements that help with internal moisture aswell as overall health. Needless to say this is a wonderful product and If your considering trying primrose oil you might as well start with the best!

Helps with post-surgery breast pain Dec 18, 2011

I was put on evening primrose oil for hot flashes and breast pain following breast cancer surgery. Barlean's is the purest form of evening primrose oil I have found, and it truly does ease hot flashes and really helps a LOT with breast pain. I would recommend this to any woman going through menopause, and certainly for any person who is a breast cancer survivor!

The product arrived on time and well packed. I take Evening Primerose to reduce pain a size of cysts in my breast. I was part of a clinical trial at Mayo clinic and Evening Primerose worked for me.

Excellent Product by Barlean's Oct 28, 2011

I have used many brands of Evening Primrose oil; found one I liked and stuck with it for years. Unfortunately the manufacturer suddenly said it could no longer produce the EPO in 1300 mg form. I tried Barlean's for a month, and then another brand. Barlean's is far superior to either brand I used previously. I am in menopause, as is my mother, and not only does the oil keep our joints flexible, the side effect of hair re-growth is amazing. Women in my family tend to lose hair once estrogen is diminished. My mother was balding and wondered why my hair -- of the 4 women in our nuclear family -- was thick and lustrous. I had been using evening primrose oil for years and found early on that it eased my PMS. I continued to use it after "the change" and my hair has grown longer than it ever has in my life, and any spots that may have started to thin in my thirties--before I started using EPO--have been replenished. Even my mother's hair is coming back. She's 83 and has only been using it for 2 months. I noticed an immediate and substantial difference in her hair with Barlean's. The other brand did not have as consistent an effect, so we're returning to Barlean's. It looks different from other brands (brown, not gold), but the EPO's functions are enhanced.
