This is the real deal. This Stuff Works! Aug 06, 2006

"Did I mention I hate Phones"
I suffer from horrible back and neck pain due to being hit by a car while I was riding my bicycle when I was 20. My back and shoulder was broken and my neck was fractured and nerves were damaged. I am in pain 24/7 and I am told that my condition will remain until the rest of my days. I am 26 now and still was hoping to find something that would make this painful journey a little bit less painful. I have tried everything on the market from pain pills to all types of oozes and miracle cures. They all failed except for one. Biofreeze is the only thing that provides me with temporary relief so I could at least take a breath and not cry from the pain. You won't be disapointed I assure you.

Not a cure but provides temporary relief Nov 24, 2007
By K. Caban Those looking for temporary relief of pain would almost certainly find this product useful. However, if anyone has ever used any other Menthol/Camphor-based topical pain reliever the results will be similar if not the same--in other words there isn't any magic here. This product numbs the area and serves as a good adjunct to use along with your NSAID of choice (i.e. Naproxen, Ibuprofen, etc) for temporary pain relief while the injured area heals itself. The only cautionary statement I have is that this product may give you the false impression that your injury has healed completely. The user needs to be careful not to exacerbate their injury as a result of this.

Works for more than pain - try this! Jan 13, 2006

"Sun Dried"
I've used for years and keep an ample supply at home and to share with friends! This products has done wonders to relieve the pain of bad back, carpal tunnel syndrome, and arthritis in the hands. BUT - what is really interesting, is when used on insect bites. Fire ant and mosquito bites are instantly relieved by a small amount applied to the bite site. The relief lasts for hours and seems to prevent further irritation and infection.

BioFreeze...better than any other pain relieving gel on the market Oct 17, 2006

I first got turned on to Biofreeze by my chiropractor. I was hesitant because pain releiving gels really irritate my sensitive skin. This not only didn't hurt me but it actually made me feel alot better. Since then it has become a staple in my house. My mother has used it consistently since a car accident caused her immense shoulder pain and my fiance has used it to soothe his ankle after fracturing it in three places. You can only get this on the internet, in massage supply stores or in doctors offices. Not many know about it but everybody should. It's a great product!

Unimpressed Feb 23, 2011

"H,S,"
I am a Neuromuscular Therapist and after years of hearing about Biofreeze, knew I needed to give it a try.
I purchased this to use on my clients, but also tried it on myself. I'm still not sure what all the hype has been about? I feel that it is mediocre at best. Fortunately for me, I purchased it on sale. I would have been even more disappointed had I paid full price. Better than using nothing, but I would recommend the convenience of over-the-counter products - such as; "Icy-Hot" or my favorite (and my clients' favorite) "Blue Goo". I believe the Biofreeze relies solely on the menthol? Blue Goo also has menthol, but more importantly has Emu oil - a natural anti-inflammatory and Arnica (natural pain relief), in addition to other ingredients. My clients LOVE Blue Goo - but (like myself) were not been overly impressed by the Biofreeze. I used it on one of my most loyal clients - and she specifically requested the Blue Goo AFTER I had applied the Biofreeze. That spoke volumes to me.
I appear to be in the minority here - as I have read the other glowing reviews on it. Perhaps my expectations may have been a little too high because of the other reviews? In my opinion Biofreeze falls short and it's highly unlikely that I will ever purchase it again (unless, perhaps, they come out with a new formula that also incorporated Emu and/or Arnica, etc. into it?).
