Worked When Nothing Else Would Apr 24, 2008
By A. Lorraine Ironplow Carditone has been working great for me for many years. No other med for high blood pressure ever worked for me, including a diuretic, an ACE inhibitor, a beta blocker and two different calcium channel blockers, and most of those had unpleasant side effects. I started out taking one Carditone per day, and after a few years had to increase to two per day, one in the morning and one in the evening. I've never had any side effects from Carditone.

Works great! Here are the numbers Sep 08, 2009
By R. Stern This product works well. I have been using it since 7/10/09. After a visit to my doctor, I started monitoring my BP at home. From 7/1/09 -7/9/09, my BP averaged 137.5/90.6 with an average heart rate of 58.4. These are the averages of 32 measurements taken over 8 days.
I decided to try Carditone to avoid taking prescription medication. I started taking 2 Carditone tablets daily on 7/10/09. This is the recommended dose. By the way, I am about 6'1" tall and weigh about 200 lbs. Over the time period of 7/10 - 7/20/09, my average BP fell to 124.3/76.1, and my average heart rate fell to 50.9 beats per minute. These averages were derived from 69 measurements taken over 10 days So two tablets daily of Carditone reduced my average systolic pressure 13.2 mm Hg, and it reduced my average diastolic blood pressure 14.5 mm Hg. It also reduced my resting heart rate by 7.5 beats per minute. Quite effective. At this dose, I felt that my exercise tolerance was mildly reduced, and I noticed some blunting of heart rate elevation during exercise. Also, I noticed that I would get orthostatic symptoms sometimes if I stood up too quickly (standing up quickly made me dizzy sometimes).
On 7/21/09, I started taking 1 Carditone tablet daily. This is 1/2 the recommended dose. On this dose, my BP has averaged 125.0/75.9, and my heart rate has averaged 49.6. These averages are made up from 105 separate measurements. So Carditone 1 tablet daily brought my BP down from the starting series an average of 12.5 mm Hg systolic and an average of 14.7 mm Hg diastolic, and it reduced my average heart rate by 8.8 beats per minute. Given the variability seen over the averages, these numbers appear to be the same as when I was taking 2 tablets daily. My exercise tolerance went back to normal, but my peak heart rate still appears blunted. I feel good.
I tried 1/2 tablet daily for about 10 days, but I noticed a mild uptrend in my numbers and returned to 1 tablet daily. Before taking this supplement, you may want to see your doctor. This is not a simple supplement like a multivitamin. Carditone contains rauwolfia serpentina or snakeroot extract. The pharmaceutical blood pressure medicine reserpine was derived from this plant, so it has potent effect.

cardiotone sucess Mar 20, 2009
By Marty
"riverside"
Pressure 155/95, pulse off the scale @ 105. Tried juicing celery, beets, carrots, wheatgrass). No sodium diet, blood pressure medicine, bycicling, walking, you name it. After 2 weeks of Cardiotone, pressure down to 137/77 pulse at 72. I even sleep better. No bad side effects. Check into the pros and cons of the ingredients (specially Rauwolfia)and make your own decision. Good luck.

Excellent for high blood pressure Oct 02, 2008
By J. White My blood pressure was very high (at doctors's visits - top number in the 190's). Diuretics helped lower it a bit but the best reading I could get on this for a top number was in the high 130's - which I considered to be good. After two years of this my GP wanted to try me on calcium channel blockers as well as the diuretics I was already on. I went to an alternative doctor who told me to take one pill twice a day along with my diuretics. My blood pressure went down substantially over the weekend and I went off the diuretics. Am now on one Carditone a day - and have been for four years now - and that is all I take - and my BP is consistently 120/80 and lower! This is such an excellent product I'm surprised more people don't know about it. Hope this will help someone else.

great product Nov 26, 2010
By OlderPerson I developed dangerously high blood pressure six months ago as a side effect of Advil and prescription meds. Nothing worked in the emergency room trips except Clonidine, and the ER refused to give a prescription for it. I was handed four different types of blood pressure meds that had terrible side effects and didn't work. I researched Clonidine and found out that Reserpine has similar characteristics. Reserpine is derived from the herb Rauwolfia Serpentina and was widely used as a plant-based medicine before designer BP drugs were invented. More research led me to MD use of Carditone as a nonprescription source for Rauwolfia Serpentina. Reserpine has a first half-life of 5 hours and a second half-life of 11 days, so it accumulates if you take it every day to provide long-term protection that works even if you forget to take it for a few days. You'll need to take it for a couple of weeks before you see its full effects. I had morning high blood pressure, so I took two on waking and none at night for great results. I am female in my 50s and I found it eliminated hot flashes, and lowered pulse, respiration, and body temperature as well as blood pressure. I also bought a book on Amazon "What Your Doctor May NOT Tell You About Hypertension", I highly recommend the book for a complete list of other ways to lower blood pressure without prescription meds.
