Does not change pH Aug 09, 2009
By Elliot R. Royce I ordered this product mainly to ionize my water and make the pH more alkaline. I can't speak to the ionizing part but after measuring several times with sensitive pH strips I found no meaningful difference in pH. The Seller was flexible in allowing me to return the product and made good faith efforts to help achieve the desired results. It would be helpful if he posted independent test results that show that this product actually does work to raise pH -- at present, he can only refer to the claims of the manufacturer. Given the cost, it should work as advertised. Perhaps there is some special circumstance that prevents it from working for me.

I enjoy the bubbles Sep 22, 2008
By Biffy

When I first used the Alkalizer, I was upset that it made bubbles the first time I used it, and I could see none after that. I found a post-it in the package that the container came in saying, "Use white vinegar to clean." I contacted an Alkalark distributor, and they said that is not what I should use to clean the minerals that cause the bubble reaction. I contacted Cold Laser Therapies and passed along this information. Cold Laser informed me they got the tip on using vinegar from the inventor of Alkalark himself. The bubbles seemed important to me, because that shows me that the minerals are doing their job, and the water is indeed being alkalized. I learned to monitor the silver particles. If they get dull, I use straight vinegar, and shake for a while. When I see the silver is shiney again, I rinse thoughly, and proceed from there. Sometimes, when it doesn't bubble after 3 minutes, I just allow it to stand until it does bubble.
Before using Alkalark, I used to have to take added minerals for more electrolytes in my body. I drink a lot of water, and I think that causes a lot of my minerals to wash out. There were times when my muscles would cramp, and this is a sign of a poor electrolyte content in your body. Since I have been using the Alkalark, I noticed, I don't have to take the extra minerals as often.
I enjoy watching for the bubbles, and I enjoy using the alkalizer.

It's Ok! Dec 18, 2009
By C. Claudio The portability of the Alkalark is somewhat shadowed by the periodic maintenance required to keep the minerals in top shape (weekly Vinegar rinsing). The water taste is almost identical to untreated water.

Undecided Sep 22, 2010
By MizCole I used it for a month and didn't feel any different.
I know the benefits of alkaline water, just not sure
of this product provides it.
Yes I did see bubbles that mean it's working, it was
easy to clean using distilled water and shaking it for
30 seconds.
My purpose was to improve my health and water drinking.
When I had this I did drink more water. The health part
I am not sure about.

The PH Increases and the water is great. Use PH reagent drops for accurate testing.
