Amazing Arm Cast of Air Jun 09, 2011
By W. Easley
"Opa"
I have struggled for months with my arm. Over time it has become painful to use a computer mouse, type on a keyboard and eventually perform activities with my arm. I visited my physician who provided me with a Pneumatic Aircast Tennis Elbow Support.
Although the doctor explained how to wear it, he did not explain what caused my problem (I no longer play tennis).
After careful research, I found that there are several important muscles that run from the hand to the upper arm and shoulder. Three are especially important for me:
The Extensor carpus radialis longus which attaches to the index finger and "controls bending of the wrist towards the thumb as well as bending the wrist back";
The Extensor carpi radialis brevis which attaches to the middle finger and also "controls the raising of the wrist";
The Extensor carpi ulnarus which attaches to the 5th finger and is used to "cock the wrist outwards, for example reaching for a far away key on a keyboard".
These three muscles run along the thumb side of the forearm. Strain on these muscles can effect use of the hand and shoulder. Under strain the result is pain.
To relieve the problem, I place the pneumatic air cell directly on the three muscles and pull the strap tight. The pressure somehow relieves strain on those muscles and temporarily solves the problem. With the brace in place I am able to use my arm again.
I found this cast on Amazon. It is the same product that I obtained at the doctors office, but is much cheaper online. I bought a second one as a backup. I highly recommend this product.

works but not very durable Sep 19, 2010
By Robbie The support relieved much of the stress and pain I felt in my elbow. Unfortunately it is poorly constructed. The strap broke on the first armband I bought and the cushion deflated on the second one.

Works, but breaks Sep 01, 2010

This is a piece of junk. Maybe it will work if you use it while sitting at a keyboards, but it broke on me after about 5 tennis games. The cheap plastic is just very brittle. Once it breaks, it's useless.

Aircast Tennis Elbow Brace review Feb 24, 2010
By J. Setliff I am very satisfied with my Aircast Elbow Brace. Except for the fact that I HAVE to wear one, it is great! It is easy to put on, it's comfortable, more so over clothing, and really helps to support my arm where it needs it the most. I've tried a few other ones, and they just didn't work like the Aircast. I had severe Tennis Elbow and didn't really want to wear a brace but it was doctor's orders and since it wasn't getting better on it's own, I started wearing it everyday. My recovery accelerated and it helped to relieve the stress of typing at a computer all day at work. Aircast Tennis Elbow Brace I'm able to slowly get back to playing tennis because of the support it provides.

Didnt help too much and was uncomfortable Mar 17, 2010

I began to develop severe cramping and forearm pain from the combo of typing and holding my baby daughter (sick with colic) for hours on end on my forearm, until it would go numb. Playing tennis made the pain excruciating and i had to stop.
I got this brace, and it really was too tight at its 'pressure point'. It felt like someone was digging their thumb into my arm, and it didnt spread the support out well.
not too impressed.
