Great Mask - Also includes Gloves & Alcohol Wipes Dec 02, 2009
By A. Hand Perfect to have on hand in a drawer, car, backpack, gym bag, or first aid kit. Unless you're putting this in a pair of cargo pants, though, I wouldn't call it "pocket-sized." The mask itself is pliable, includes an O2 port, and a neck strap. The hard case latches closed and the orange color makes it easy to find.
As an added bonus -- not listed in the product description -- a pair of powder-free nitrile exam gloves (latex free) and an alcohol cleaning wipe are included in the case. I was looking for a mask kit that included the gloves, so these were a pleasant surprise, making the product even more convenient where gloves aren't normally available (e.g., workplace, car, gym bag).
The mask is reusable, so long as it is properly cleaned (soapy water, followed by a soak in bleach solution according to the enclosed instructions). The filter valve must be replaced after use. Replacement filter valves (ADC part number 4053v) can be found by searching "ADC 4053v" on Amazon.
Product is marked as Made in Taiwan, Inspected in USA.

Works Great. Apr 01, 2008
By Taloncard I use this mask for my CPR classes. Nice, compact, and unlike other masks the valve can be attached to the mask while in the case so it is ready to go. No problems with the valve falling out when you open the case.

Great price for a basic mask Sep 14, 2009

I agree with all the reviews posted to date. It's a great price, the valve is already affixed, et. cettera. Just one hang up...
Pros: As above, comes in a nice hard case, the valve can be left installed (and of course is disposable - only comes with one though) and has an O2 port on the mask as well.
Cons: Really only one, which is that it isn't a true non re-breather mask, with a valve on the exhaust side of the filter/valve. When a patient inhales, they wont be drawing 100% O2 if giving assisted bag ventilation, as some ambient air will be drawn back through the exhaust side.
Overall: Obviously, the con isn't a major issue for the casual user who is not going to be giving bag or O2 ventilation, but for the EMT or Professional Rescuers out there, be aware.

Firefighter/student EMT review Sep 29, 2010
By Buyer This pocket rescusitator is a worthwhile purchase. The case fits in my spiewak emt pant pockets comfortably. It is a well built item, the mask has a tackiness in texture that allows a good seal to the face. It is a one time use mask, yet affordable, and is the chosen product of local first responders.

Great blower, great price! Aug 10, 2011
By Dave839 OK so I haven't tested it yet, and hope I never have to. I have used a BVM countless times and performed actual mouth to mouth on a family member, otherwise if it was a stranger I would have used a barrier device I keep in my wallet (next to the condom, LOL). These work great in theory and training, that dummy is never for want of air! With AHA switching all civilians to compressions only CPR these might only be found in hospitals and doctor's offices soon, who knows? I however have a health care provider level cert and like to ventilate once every 30, I also like not having strangers vomit and/or saliva in my mouth, therefore I have one of these. These are also great to stick in an out of the way place in your ruck in case your buddy (who's been to Thailand -a lot) suddenly needs ventilation. I like, even love (in a brotherly way) most of the guys I serve with, I however would not trust that all of them don't have some form of gonoherpasyphilaids. Thus the Pocket mask above. I will update this review if the one way valve fails and I get blood/vomit/AIDs in my mouth, you can be certain of that.
