I am a family physician and recently had some training in dermoscopy, having had a strong interest in dermatology my entire career. Our office purchased a smaller, less expensive unit for all of us to use, but I quickly was frustrated by having to go get it each time I wanted to use it (about half my patients have something I want to see better) and by the small lens on the unit we originally had. So after much research I decided this unit would be very functional for a reasonable price. (Is any medical equipment reasonably priced?)
The unit is all I expected. Clarity is excellent, brightness is perfect and two levels of intensity are available. The retractable face plate is great with or without oil. After two charging cycles, it lasts weeks. It fits the hand nicely and is secure.
The belt case holds it snuggly - a good thing because the only criticism I have is the snap cover for the belt case - it does not stay closed. The case is very snug however, and there is little to no chance of it falling out.
