Great product, with one drawback Sep 27, 2008
By V. Schomp I bought this product for sciatica pain in the upper thighs. The only thing that makes it bearable to sit in an office chair all day is cold, and I had tried ice packs (lumpy!), frozen towels (good for five minutes), and all sorts of other solutions. These pads are great; I keep one in the freezer, one on the chair, and rotate them every four or five hours. My only quibble is that the pad starts to "weep" after being taken out of the freezer; after ten minutes or so, it is covered with droplets of water--not exactly ideal for sitting on. So it really needs to be wrapped in a towel if used as a cold pack. Otherwise, this is the best thing I've found for sciatica. (I've also microwaved it and used it as a heat wrap for a sore neck, and it was great for that, too--much more flexible than a heating pad).

I love this product! Apr 21, 2011
By Misty Funk I've used this hot/cold pack in my chiropractic practice and love it. I have bought from Amazon before but discovered the last time I purchased it, if I bought the pack directly from Core Products and used their free shipping code (FREESHIP) when I checked out, I saved more money. I also was able to combine shipping as I bought the pack for the neck and shoulders, too. I haven't found out how to do that with Amazon. None-the-less, it doesn't matter where you buy it, I highly recommend this great product.

Perfect cold pack! Aug 17, 2011
By K. Montgomery First, let me say that these do not freeze up like the traditional ice packs you usually find to throw in your cooler. The gel freezes but never really gets to that "hard freeze" stage. These stay very cold for about 2 hours and then they start to lose their "cool". They do the trick though because they can wrap around the part of your body that is aching. They've done the trick for our household. We purchased 3 of the 10 x 13's so that we can rotate them when the back goes out. 10 by 13 sounds huge. It really isn't. It actually seems smaller once you use in person. Good product. Decent price. Would purchase again.

hot and cold comfort pack Nov 14, 2010
By dvan I ordered this item wanting something similar to my what my Chiro uses. It is exactly the same thing, and I love it. It stays cold longer than a regular gel pack. Great size and you can use it on anything. I would definately recommend this item.

Great pads May 11, 2011
By Robin Cotchan I have three of these and keep them in the freezer. I have bad knees and keep one of these on them at night. Stays comfortably cold for a long time. Have used as a heating pad out of the microwave. Work just as well. Very handy.
